Boxing and strength training: how to combine both

Boxing and strength training complement each other when priorities are clear and fatigue is distributed intelligently.

Define the main goal

Boxing students should preserve energy for technique and sport-specific work. Strength training supports the goal through force, stability and resilience.

When hypertrophy is the priority, boxing volume should respect recovery and load progression.

Distribute the sessions

Separate demanding boxing and strength sessions whenever possible. If they share a day, start with the priority discipline.

The team can organise the week around experience, availability and recovery.

Small groups preserve quality

Feedback matters in technical training. One-to-one coaching is fully tailored, while groups of up to four retain close supervision.

Boxing at CT Unbroken is coached by Hugo Rocha and can be combined with gym membership.
